The T240 Joint Closure is part of a modular system of lockable closures made of acidproof stainless steel. The main benefits of the system are superior flexibility, easy handling, and tightness with regard to overpressure and vacuum.<\/p>\n

The closures are designed for use in demanding environments. With a desiccator the closure remains free from humidity even under extreme conditions.<\/p>\n

General description\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

The closure is suitable for use above ground attached to high voltage towers, poles, walls or other support structures. The Tykoflex closure can be tailored to almost any required configuration. It is designed to provide watertight and pressuretight environmental protection for optical fibres and optical fibre splices for all cable designs. The closure is therefore suitable for ground installations in manholes, tunnel systems and sewage lines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Material\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

All the external parts of the T240 Joint Closure are made of 1.4404 (316L) acidproof stainless steel.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is compliant with the IEC 61753-111-7, IEC 61753-111-8 and 61753-111-9 international standards, and the T240 fulfils the IP68 (-40\u00b0 and +70\u00b0 Celsius) and IP69\/IP69K standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assembly concept<\/b><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a>T240\u00a0is a rugged and flexible joint closure system with all its external parts manufactured of 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel. The closure consists of a base and a lid sealed with an O-ring and a V-clamp, using only one bolt without the need for a torque wrench.<\/p>\n

The closure is designed for use in harsh environments and together with desiccators the closure remains free from humidity, even under extreme conditions.\u00a0<\/span>The closure can be mounted on any pole or tower using\u00a0 <\/span>a pole bracket, a mounting plate and cable strain relief clamps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fibre organisers and cable bushings with heat shrink tubing are included.<\/p>\n
