The TBK8 240/150-200 fibre optic joint closure represents the Telecombox 240 product family. These lockable joint closures are made of acid-proof stainless steel, which makes them well suited for installation in demanding environmental conditions. The closure is constructed and designed to allow simultaneous use of different types of cables. Simple opening and closing with one bolt only for easier handling. This closing method also keeps the closures air-tight under both high and low air-pressure conditions. A sachet with a drying agent added to the closure after it is installed prevents condensation inside the closure.
The TBK8 240/150-200 joint closure has been developed for extending and branching stranded loose tube cables and central tube cables, but is equally well suited for slotted core cables.
The TBK8 240/150-200 enclosure has mounting parts for both steel and metal free pulling wires.
In the joint closure, there is one oval-shaped inlet for the core network and feed cables, and eight Ø 22 mm inlet tubes for branch cables. When delivered from the factory, the inlets of the branch cables are closed and can easily be opened when new cables are added.
By means of the optional accessory, TBK8 Storage Tray, a 192-fibre tubular cable can be installed into the joint closure without cutting off the fibres running in the trunk cable. “Midspan”/”window cut” installation..
