Our approach to compliance isn’t just about meeting legal requirements; it’s about ensuring the best practices are consistently met. Continuous collaboration with all stakeholders, including engaging and managing supplier expectations, is key to our success.
Tykoflex’s success in its REACH and ROHS program is not just a product of rigorous data collection but a testament to Tykoflex’s approach towards ensuring sustainability and compliance. / Guillaume Meier, program manager at Assent
We believe that our success in the REACH and ROHS program goes beyond meticulous data collection. It’s a testament to our overall approach towards sustainability and compliance. We understand that this is crucial not just for us, but for the entire industry, and we’re committed to maintaining these high standards. Our efforts reinforce our reputation as an industry leader in environmental stewardship and responsible business practices.
REACH
In June 2007, the European Union Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) was first released.
As of 14th, June 2023 the list contains 235 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs).
- Under the structure of the REACH Regulation, Tykoflex is a manufacturer and supplier of “articles”. We do not manufacture, or supply “substances” or “preparations” and our articles do not involve the “intentional release of substances”. Accordingly, we foresee no registration or pre-registration requirement for the products we supply to you.
- Tykoflex is constantly monitoring the substances of very high concern (SVHCs), as defined by REACH, in our products. This will be an on-going process since the complete list of SVHCs will be released in stages.
- Articles containing SVHC can be found on the Tykoflex REACH SVHC 2023 excel-file.

SCIP
SCIP is the database for information on Substances of Concern In articles as such or in complex objects (Products) established under the Waste Framework Directive (WFD).
Companies supplying articles containing substances of very high concern (SVHCs) on the Candidate List in a concentration above 0.1% weight by weight (w/w) on the EU market must submit information on these articles to ECHA, as from 5 January 2021.
The SCIP database ensures that the information on articles containing Candidate List substances is available throughout the whole lifecycle of products and materials, including at the waste stage.
The information in the database is then made available to waste operators and consumers.
Tykoflex products and it’s SCIP number can be found in the excel-file Tykoflex SCIP 2023
