Tykoflex at Cigre 2026

26 Aug 2026

Tykoflex is on site at CIGRE Session 2026 in Paris – one of the world’s most important meeting places for power transmission and the future of the grid.

As transmission networks expand, are reinforced and become increasingly interconnected across larger geographical areas, robust communications infrastructure is becoming an increasingly important part of grid resilience. Fiber in OPGW and ADSS plays a central role in communication, monitoring and control – and every splice point needs to perform reliably for decades.

This is an area Tykoflex has been working with for decades.

Our T240 Fiber Closure is designed and manufactured in Sweden to protect fiber connections in critical infrastructure under demanding conditions. Its stainless-steel construction and pressure- and vacuum-tested sealing provide robust protection against moisture, mechanical impact and harsh environmental conditions.

At CIGRE, we are discussing with utilities, grid operators and other industry experts how fiber infrastructure can be designed for long service life, high reliability and minimal need for future intervention – as part of a more resilient transmission grid.
