Tykoflex & Kongsberg Discovery at DSEI 2025 – Innovation Beneath the Surface

We are pleased to announce that Peter Schelter from Tykoflex AB will attend DSEI in London together with Nils Waltré and his colleagues from Kongsberg Discovery. Together, we will present models of our solutions for the future of secure and intelligent subsea infrastructure.

This marks the next step in our strategic partnership, where Tykoflex’s robust fibre optic subsea closures are combined with Kongsberg Discovery’s expertise in sensors, communication, and positioning. The result is modular, secure, and intelligent system solutions with clear dual-use potential – serving both civil and defence applications.

On the civil side, the solution opens new opportunities for continuous monitoring of marine environments, for example to better understand the impact of noise pollution on marine wildlife. At the same time, it enhances defence and civil protection by enabling the safeguarding of critical subsea infrastructure and improving situational awareness – even in areas where GPS is disrupted or entirely denied. In this way, the technology becomes a key enabler for research, environmental protection, and security alike.

With rising geopolitical risks and growing vulnerability of subsea infrastructure, the need for robust, self-controlled networks has never been greater.
